Cementitious materials

In construction industry, cementitious materials are basic building materials used for different applications owing to their superior properties such as versatility, easy accessibility, high strength, serviceability, and affordability. Increased urbanization and industrialization with corresponding growth in economy has significantly increased the utilization of cementitious materials in pursuit of improving standards of living. The high demand for cementitious materials requires a significant amount of Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) as well. OPC is globally industrialized by combustion of naturally available raw materials such as clay and limestone, and industrial byproducts such as fly ash and slag.
